Bulgarian company E-CARD is in top 50 of software leaders in Europe

‘Bulgarian company E-CARD is in top 50 of software leaders in Europe in the field of interactive applications and web-based services’, said Dimitar Ganev, partner in the company. E-CARD has won three Deloitte awards that regularly assess the quality and pace of its development and place the company in top 50 in Europe.

The company, launched in year 2000 and established itself on the market through the pre-paid cards for internet access and payments. ‘From the very beginning, our mission is to offer innovative solutions in the field of web-based services and websites, as well as, in the field of mobile marketing’, explained Dimitar Ganev.

Over the past 20 years, the company has implemented dozens of large-scale projects with international and local partners, like CELADOR, ENDEMOL, EYEWORKS, SIA Advertising, Global Films, NOVA Television, Diema Vision, production company EDITA etc. The company works with all three mobile operators in Bulgaria - A1, Telenor and VIVACOM.

Some of the most successful TV formats in the country have launched their websites and video streaming platforms with implemented payment systems, via E-CARD services. Shows like: Big Brother - seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4, special VIP editions of the show and Big Brother Family; Star Academy and the online version of the game “Who wants to be a millionaire”.

Additionally, years ago, before the introduction of smartphones, E-CARD was the company that developed some of the most successful SMS games in Bulgaria. According to Dimitar Ganev, ‘if an organization wants to ensure long-term competitiveness, it needs to implement digitalization, especially in times of the current uncertain business dynamic and COVID- 19.

In the constantly changing market landscape that needs to satisfy the interests of all stakeholders digital transformation can help organizations position themselves significantly better in the future,’ he explained. ‘In simple terms, companies need to have flexible and well-protected infrastructure, which integrates technological advancement in order to have the capacity to address the business challenges of the contemporary environment.

Data acquisition is another prerequisite for the digital transformation of the organizations. This process is related to the aggregation, activation and provision of revenues from the insufficiently usage of data, in order to improve products and services. If these conditions are met, working with data improves the efficiency of processes, increases profits and improves consumer attitudes’, says Dimitar Ganev.

According to him, it is essential for the industry to constantly provide digital skills training, talent discovery and networking opportunities to its employees in order to keep them up to date .
